Meet the Contestants

EUCYS 2025 will bring together over 130 of Europe’s most talented young scientists, aged 14 to 20, selected as first-prize winners from national science competitions across more than 40 countries. These contestants represent the best of the next generation in scientific thinking, innovation, and creativity.

Each participating country nominates up to three projects, developed individually or in teams of up to three students. All projects undergo rigorous national selection before being invited to compete at the European level. The entries cover a wide range of disciplines, including:

During the contest, young researchers will present their work to an international jury of esteemed scientists and engage with fellow participants in an environment that encourages exchange, curiosity, and innovation.
